Madame K's closing is bummer enough, but that it is being replaced with "vegetarian thai" is the worst news I've heard since yesterday when I learned that my wife was being laid off from her new job. Come on now.... seriously? Is it not okay that we can get pretty much any plate at any Thai restaurant (including the very good Thai Ku across the street) as a veggie option? Do we really need more of the same? Why are restaurant owners in this city so...predictable? I plan not to go to this new place ever and eagerly await whatever comes next in the space since it is doomed to fail.

Ahhh, this sucks. Whilst I wasn't a huge fan of the place - it was just OK pizza in my book, I hate to hear of a restaurant get replaced with ANOTHER Thai Food place.. I mean, seriously, how many does Seattle need? (and yes, I do enjoy Thai.)
