Welcome to Our Personal Hellscape

Tickets to three days of Dave Matthews Band at the Gorge over Labor Day weekend go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. Don't know about you, but we can think of nothing worse (non-Burning Man-related) than spending three days camping at the Gorge with Dave Matthews' douchetard fanbase. (Brief aside: What's worse, DMB itself or DMB fans?) Ok, it would be worse if John Mayer and Jason Mraz were opening, but instead it's slightly better with openers G. Love & Special Sauce and Yonder Mountain String Band. Tickets for Friday, September 4th through Sunday, September 6th are $48.50 and $70.00 (plus all those service charges and fees) and go on sale Friday, March 13th via LiveNation and Ticketmaster.

Don't even pretend you were being funny, or sarcastic. Your comments generalizing a Dave Matthews' fans in this piece of crass are a low ball not worthy of a well written website that the Seattlest has become.

heheh. I like John Mayer.

One, he's good.

Two, he knows everyone thinks he's turned into a douchebag and admits he seems to resemble a douchebag, but his video to Conan proves to the contrary.

Cool...I just stumbled onto this site and can not stop laughing at Audrey's new word of Douchetard...LOL LOL!!!!!That's funny Audrey..really funny

I'm no fan of DMB or probably a sizable percentage of their fan-base, either, but I'll have to agree – this is kind of an unnecessary slam against a very wide ranging group of people. Not everyone's into ironistache sporting hipster tunes or silky smooth IDM (or what have you). And because they're not doesn't make them bad people. They just have average taste in music. At least they're not listening to white supremacist neo nazi skinhead hardcore/punk (which, I know I know, is a very small subset of said genres). Those folks deserve chastising because they're actually hurting people. These folks are just having a good time listening to Dave and that violin guy jamming it out.

Of course, it's your blog and you can write what you want. But you lose credibility with posts like this.
