<description>&lt;p&gt;Back during the dot-com meltdown of the early &apos;00s, I lived in San Francisco and worked in Cupertino. The traffic was a great barometer of business conditions.

First, it actually got WORSE as lots of people stopped traveling for work and were commuting instead, and then the traffic dropped off precipitously.

I haven&apos;t seen traffic drop off here yet, though.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
