Things are getting grimly humorous in the wake of layoffs that won't stop coming. A laid-off friend of ours was laughing about his job prospecting attempts resulting in people emailing him back, telling him they'd just learned their last day was coming up, and asking him if he knew of anything. Capitol Hill's Office Nomads is hoping to make a little pink slip lemonade out of this sudden boost in freelancers and newbie entrepreneurs. They want to pass their current 20-member peak in February, and they're offering a free month of daily drop-ins at their coworking space (desks, internet, fax, printer, conference room, kitchen) for new visitors with a pink slip or other proof of being laid off. Ex-Seattlester Charles Redell works out of there, so we can recommend them with confidence.

Tuesdays are Muppet Days

Cool to see Seattlest cover ON. I've worked at Office Nomads for about four months, now, and it's awesome -- so much better than working at home! The people rock, it's a great space, and has been great for my work - have found some excellent collaboration here.
