Stalk of the Town

Katelyn is airborne, on her way to Turkey (!!!) for the month. This weekend, she'll be exploring Istanbul by her lonesome. She plans on geeking out over all the religious history and food-related sight-seeing she can pack into four days before she flies down to the Mediterranean coast for the next leg of her adventure.

Maia is headed to happy hour at TASTE this evening, followed by SAM remix, where Pat Les Stache will be spinning mustache grooves. She still has no clue what that means. Saturday will be spent catching up on overdue reviews. Sunday is brunch at The Hunt Club before having the mystifying rules of modern dating cinematically broken down via attractive, successful people in He's Just Not That Into You.

Jay is stuffing himself silly at Cafe Juanita, Thoa's and BOKA before settling for peanuts and pretzels when he takes off Sunday for a week of travel in South Carolina, Colorado and Oklahoma.

Kim will be spending much of the weekend transcribing a million interviews, but plans on maybe taking a couple of breaks. Tonight, if all goes as planned, she'll head to the Tractor to catch one of her new favorite bands in the world: Delta Spirit. Tomorrow night, she'll join a songwriter friend to work on some of their own music. Sunday, she'll dart out to help a close pal find an apartment before settling in for the Grammys and the L Word.

Tonight MvB is off to Kid Simple--"A radio play in the flesh"--at Theatre Off Jackson, then Saturday night brings a potluck dinner. Not settled on a dish yet. Sunday, as always, involves a cafe and the New Yorker.

Abbey is looking forward to trying out her brand new D90 this weekend at a couple shows. Tonight it's the Tractor Tavern for Delta Spirit and Other Lives, while tomorrow she is braving an all-ages show for Sera Cahoone and The Fruit Bats. Besides that, she'll be wishing Seattlest Katelyn had room to fit her in her carry-on to Turkey.

Ronald is "At airport in chicago, returnung tonight."
