It's Just That Hard to Get a Date in Seattle
More or less daily we walk from our place up on Capitol Hill down Bellevue to Pine, where we walk across I-5 to get downtown. And for the past couple weeks, we've noticed an odd handmade sign at the equally odd intersection-in-the-sky at Pine & Boren that simply reads "ineedagirlfriend206.com." It was curious, we thought, and so today while idly browsing the interweb at lunch, we decided to hop online and see exactly what the deal is.
So here's the deal: Meet Lamont, a 29-year-old LA native who's spent the last four-ish years bouncing back and forth between Vegas and Seattle, and who's now settled in Seattle and is looking for a compatible mate. Apparently the singles scene here really is that bad. Whatever the case, if you're interested in "an easy going guy" who loves "laughing and making jokes on just about everything," whose "hobbies include going to the gym, writing in my notebook, hunting in thrift stores, and riding around on my bike," and who's "looking for a long term relationship, but [who's] not looking to force something that just isn't there," well, Lamont's your guy.
Wanna get together? You can email him via an oddly formal email form on the website, or just post to his MySpace (pictures are expected). And even if you're not looking to date Lamont, do him a favor and become his MySpace friend--right now he's only got about eight and probably needs some positive reinforcement in his apparently completely sincere (if quixotic) quest for love.
