Can't Miss It: Tuesday

EIGHT TRACKS 'N EIGHT TRACKS: Oh wait, that was the predecessor to Tapes 'N Tapes, the band playing at Neumos tonight. Everybody loves a little celebratory Midwestern indie rock on Inauguration Day, right? To prepare, or if you can't make it to the show but still don't want to Miss It, check out this Lollapalooza feature from a year or two ago where you can download the tracks from their set-list.

VERN FONK IS NOT A BAND NAME: But Vunt Foom is, and the band will be playing its brand of groovy electro-funk to the High Dive this evening with RA Scion of Common Market. Diztortion among other worthy groups will be opening. Put on clothes and shoes you can dance in, because the High Dive is going to be one great dance party tonight!

BUSH IS GONE DRINK-A-THON: O, happy day: George is gone! Barack is here! To celebrate, Moe Bar has an all-day happy hour from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. That means $2 wells and cheap beer to match your joie de vivre. Pretty much every bar in town is going to be open today, as per usual, and maybe you'll luck into some specials elsewhere. We'll be at home at first, drinking wine like good Americans. If we feel crazy later, it's Moe Bar all the way.
