One MLK Day Parade Does Happen

We've had confirmation that a fairly large parade has happened downtown, ostensibly the one that started at Garfield High. Earlier, Seattlest Kim reported that the events scheduled to start at Westlake this morning was canceled in ad hoc fashion due to lack of turn-out. Does anyone actually know who organized that event? According to the Seattle P-I, the contact was listed as commanderinchief6@hotmail.com. The Garfield H.S. event is apparently the official MLK Day event.
