It's a Good Day for a Hike

Due to what Cliff Mass calls a "sharp inversion," we're freezing our foggy asses off down here in the lowlands while the mountains are a tropical summer fantasy.

Okay, that might be laying it on a little thick, but the point is that it's going to be sunny and 55 degrees up Tiger Mountain way. We can't even imagine.

Hiking through a sharp inversion is a real treat. If you don't like hiking, drive up to the top of Cougar Mt. Park and bask in the sun.
Whether you're hiking or skiing, the views are going to be great. Crisp and clear, and--did we mention this already?--warmer than it is in Seattle, where we're wrapped tight in our 37-degree, wet, gray blanket.
