SDOT Currently Re-painting Lines on Aurora Bridge

We brought it up a couple days ago, some time after MyBallard, HorsesAss, and Crosscut hit it, but apparently following snow-plowing in the wake of December's Snowpocalypse, the lines and "road turtles" dividing lanes on the Aurora Bridge and elsewhere disappeared. Apparently the plows just plain chopped them off. However, we've just received word from former Seattlest editor Seth that SDOT is starting to re-paint the lines right now. Can anyone offer confirmation?

Because Seth is *not* trustworthy, people.

Seth is *perfectly* trustworthy! I just assume he blew by in a car or bus and I wanted to make sure what we're saying is right, Mr. Editor-man. It's called "fact-checking."

Can they take care of the WS Bridge next? Almost got plowed into by a few cars and semis because, like aurora, the lines are simply gone.

Here's a press release from the Seattle DOT. They don't seem to have any cameras on the bridge itself unfortunately. I guess they don't want to make their own version of that one movie.

I work at SDOT in the Channelization division. We should be out repainting the West Seattle Bridge tomorrow (Thursday).

Bright white dotted line heading north on the bridge Wednesday at 3:30pm. I couldn't tell if southbound was finished, but there were only two lanes at 10:30am.

Lines on both sides are finished. I still can't help wondering how it is that disappeared in the first place. I've lived in places with snow for most of my life and have never seen lines erased by plows. The turtles going missing I can understand, and even some wear on the paint, but those lines were gone.
