Neko Case Got a Lot of Nerve for the Children Animals
Sultry indie/alt-country chanteuse Neko Case is debuting "People Got a Lot of Nerve" [mp3], the first single from her forthcoming album Middle Cyclone (out March 3), and as an added bonus, she's raising money for puppies and kitties. (See above PSA.)
For every blog that reposts the song (or iLike user who adds it to their profile), Neko Case and ANTI- (her album's label) will make a donation to Best Friends Animal Society: $5 per blog and $1 per profile. Best Friends Animal Society is a bigtime animal rescue organization that works with shelther and rescue groups around the country. They've even got a sanctuary in Utah that's home to a couple thousand abandoned and/or special needs dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, birds, and other animals.
So download the track yourself and pass it on! The charity donation runs from January 13 to February 3, 2009. Details from ANTI- after the jump.
How do I post on my blog?
Every time a blog reposts “People Got A Lotta Nerve” by Neko Case, we will donate five dollars to the Best Friends Foundation. Here’s how to participate:

If not, please email newmedia@epitaph.com with your blog post information and we will be sure to add you to the list of participating donors.
