Get Out Thursday: Blind Pilot at the Triple Door

Portland-based Blind Pilot were not only chosen as Starbucks' "Pick of the Week" for the week of January 3rd, they're also loved by NPR and KEXP, and now, by us.

Though the band received a fair amount of attention last year for touring the West Coast via bicycle (along with small trailers for their instruments), the band's blog explains that they won't be traveling by bike this time around due to the size of the tour and, you know, the fact that it's wintertime.

If you're a fan of minimalistic, folksy indie pop consisting of striking vocals, beautiful melodies, and that undeniably Portland aesthetic, we encourage you to check these guys out--specifically, the song "Story I Heard" (MySpace), which has been on constant rotation in our headphones lately.
