So ... What's the Word for the Snow?

pocalpse_vs_mageddon.jpgPlow vs. wait it out.

Try to get to work vs. "work" from home.

Salt vs. pack it down and let it melt.

Ha! We have the vital question: is this a snowpocalypse or is it snowmageddon?

We couldn't decide, so we tossed the question out there for the faceless users of icantdeci.de. And they were evenly split.

What are you calling it?

UPDATE:
As of 9:25pm, "snowpocalypse" has (rightfully, IMHO) taken a commanding lead over "snowmageddon."

And there's a second matchup, not created by us: Do you like your snowmergencies with a "w" or without? Sans "w" is currently leading, but that's heresy, so we assume you'll do the wright thing and vote for inclusion.

("Snopocalypse." Jesus. What's wrong with kids today?)

Snowpocapalooza. Can we please leave West Seattle now? Just for a few hours?

I've been calling the ruler stuck vertically in the snow on my back porch the snodometer.

SDOT just sent another $100K mailer announcing street resurfacing for 2009. For God's sake, won't someone at SDOT take responsibility for plowing the fucking streets? How hard can it be? One northbound arterial, one southbound arterial into & out of each neighborhood. PLOW down to the pavement, not smoosh compact. Because you know what happens, some big-ass truck with 36-inch tires comes along and breaks the compacted snow into chunks, and those chunks stay there like boulders for weeks.

Hey, Snowpocalypse is in the lead now, 61 percent to 39. I voted for Snowmageddon for the novelty of it.

  • Don't blame me, I voted for snowpocalypse.
