Memories Made In The Coldest Winter

Hey, Seattle. Are we sane again yet? Still grouchy from being house-bound for too many days? Our primary survival mechanism has been music. Earlier this morning, we told you two of the albums we've been listening to this very cold week (Adele and Raphael Saadiq). We'll add to the list Kanye West's somewhat controversial 808s & Heartbreak, hated by many for West's abundant use of the Madonna-riffic vocorder and his abrupt switch to music that bears a much stronger resemblance to flighty pop than to the thumping, agile hip-hop we're used to from the man. But you know what? We like the album, and we'll always connect it with this unexpectedly chilly, wet, cabin-feverish December.

A few months from now, this weird week will be just a slightly painful memory (though we're hoping Metro et. al. learns a few things to apply to next year's snow). The soundtrack to our memory's playback of the week will be comprised of Adele, Raphael Saadiq, and Kanye West. What about you? What will you always connect to your memories of this week? A particular track? A certain drink? One snowy, lonely bus stop? If you're one of Greyhound's unlucky passengers, maybe one specific shelter downtown? (Don't hurt us...)

haha I love how one of their songs is called "Endlich Ein Grund Zur Panik"... "At last, a reason to panic." LOL.

I've been listening to Wir Sind Helden on all my snow walkabouts! Nothing says winter wonderland like German pop.
