Seattlest doesn't watch TV anymore. The Daily Show at 11, then lights out. But TDS is on hiatus for the holidays, and there's all this fucking weather to worry about, so we flipped on Channel Five. There's Lori Matsukawa, we remember her. And Mimi Jung, that's right. Saw her once next to Allen Schauffler on a weekend newscast. How cool is that? Two Asian females co-anchoring. And no big deal, either. Now the big story: tomorrow's weather. We're just catching the audio now, a voice like Sarah Palin! What, the meteorologist's a woman, too? Shannon O'Donnell, haven't seen her before. By the time Lisa Gangel comes on with sports, we've figured it out: except for Jim Foreman's live feed from somewhere, all the King's men are either on Mastodon Duty or home baking cookies.

Friendly Folk-Pop for the Kids: Hey Marseilles at Vera This Saturday

Never thought about King 5's news that way. Kind of cool. And Shannon O'Donnell was actually on King5 a long time ago. Around '99-'00. I remember this because my friends adored her while we were in college.
