A Taste of Money: Spencer Alpert to Trump Seattle

(First, did you get our Herb Alpert reference? This is the kind of thing that gives us the eye-twitch.) Spencer Alpert--he's a real estate developer, he owns a 2008 all-electric Tesla--says on his website that he's "partnering with a major New York developer on an iconic high rise tower project in downtown Seattle." Now the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce reports (thx, Jesse!), that Alpert is courting the Donald, and wants to build a "strikingly tall marquee two-tower condo project." It seems like perfect timing: "With five new buildings, encompassing about two million square feet, opening next year, the vacancy rate [in Seattle] is expected to hit 15 percent. Most of the new space has not been leased."

Seattle could really use a little uptown fever! This sleepy little city of ours, practically rolls up the streets downtown at dusk --- If Spencer Alpert can pull together a deal with the Trumps... then he should go for it! Rumor has it that Alpert been pulling together deals way more complicated than this for years. C'mon Seattle... you know you use a face lift and maybe this guy Spencer Alpert is just the guy who could wrap it up and bring it home to our sleepy little town. Seattle could finally be as "big britches" as it thinks it is. There, I've said it.

Dammit! I realize I screwed up the headline. "A Waste of Money" is what it should be! Then the Alpert reference is a little more obscure. Which is nothing against the project, Jesse. All your big-ego projects waste money. Nature of the beast.

Well, what the rendering - which ain't bad, especially for Trump - doesn't show is that it will probably be coated in chrome. Or something similar.

It sounds like Donald is a bit late to the game on this, and I'm sure he'll put him imprint of 'class' on it before long.

Here's the rendering, to save people time.

    ur welcome!

I hope they build it considering the rendering is amazing for a Trump development. Not obnoxious at all. And that would be our tallest building. Its all hotel/condo and would take forever to build so it could be good timing depending on when they finish.
