She may still have far too much work to do this weekend, but Kim will emerge from her cocoon for two very important shows. Tonight, it's Sera Cahoone at a secret, undisclosed location and Kim refuses to spill the beans. Continuing the vaguely country theme, she'll end the weekend Sunday night at Chop Suey with the lovely and talented Star Anna.
On Saturday, MvB is off to the wilds of North Seattle for Twilight: Los Angeles 1992, Anna Deavere Smith's play about the 1992 L.A. riots. Sunday brings a small "editorial" meeting at Hopvine with Seattlest Jeremy. And beer.
After a hellish work week Jack is breaking out the plaid this weekend, as he'll be attending tonight's Sera Cahoone show and then it's off to Portland for a weekend of book-swapping at Powell's, boozing in Distillery Row, and sleeping it off at the Ace Hotel.
Now that Jay is back in town, he's ramping up his restaurant reviewing. He'll be at Waterfront Seafood Grill tonight and then Carmelita tomorrow night. Sunday, he'll probably be digesting all day, and may cook a meal made from finds at the University District Farmers Market.
Home from farflung travels as well, Ronald plans to keep his addled brain on French time by attending as many Beaujolais Nouveau parties as possible.
After one of those weeks at work, Abbey is looking to take great joy in her weekend. Tonight she'll either be heading east to Roslyn to see The Moondoggies and The Maldives at The Brick, or she'll be marveling at
Shane Tutmarc's latest album at a cozy listening party. Saturday is all about The Whore Moans, who will be celebrating their record release at King Cobra with the Wild Orchid Children and The Hands. Sunday, as always, is about sleeping in, having a mimosa with brunch, and then a little tipsy house-cleaning.
And finally, Katelyn has been fighting a cold all week. She will go to the secret Sera show tonight and hit up her sister's "ironic '90s" party tomorrow night, and that's pretty much it. She might possibly rent 2 Fast, 2 Furious like she's been meaning to for a week now.

Friendly Folk-Pop for the Kids: Hey Marseilles at Vera This Saturday

Is she at HTFC? I can't wait for Dec. 6th. Lots of goodness.
witness the power of free drinks and hoedownworthy alt-country to bring out the blogging set.
I had completely forgotten about the free drinks part! WOOHOO!
The free drinks part is the whole reason we are going! Well, most of the reason, anyway.
