The Fremont Bridge, gateway to the Center of the Universe, could be your future art studio. Some lucky Seattle-area creative type is going to get a workshop in one of the bridge towers, in which to create a diverse, in-depth exploration of what it means to be the city’s busiest bridge 'n' stuff. All that and a $20,000 grant from SDOT. Apply by Jan. 5. Or don’t--we don’t need the competition!

Friendly Folk-Pop for the Kids: Hey Marseilles at Vera This Saturday

Close the Aurora Bridge to the 4 or 5 jumpers per year, save $1.5M, and staff the "walk around or under jumping spot" with crisis counselors. It'd take some effort to try to die from jumping from the Fremont Bridge (whoa! this is not a suggestion to try it or to hold me liable for telling you to do it); you have 94.5% more of a chance of surviving after a jump from the Fremont than the Aurora/99 Bridge.
& jumping from a bridge is lame and been done to death. oops, sorry...
Um, this post is about a grant to create art in and about the Fremont Bridge.
