That'd be a serious burn if today's count ended the race today.
As of the 5:30ish update, it's Begich 150,728 to Stevens 147,004, so Begich's win percentage is up to 1.18%. I read that actually Alaska doesn't have a mandatory recount provision; but if the difference is 0.5% or less and there is a recount, the state will pay for it.
It's an unbeatable lead. It's done.
And he won't be pardoned by Bush either.
