A couple days ago, we got an email about a free Sera Cahoone show next Friday night. Sponsored by Sound Magazine and Verizon, the "intimate show for a limited guest list" is set to feature the musical stylings of Ms. Cahoone, along with free drinks courtesy of Pearl Vodka and Widmer Bros., cupcakes from Cupcake Royale, and complimentary gift bags, plus the chance to win a new Blackberry Storm (that's the first touchscreen Blackberry that looks like it could just be a shittier version of the iPhone). Anyways, to get on the list for this event just text "RSVP" to 64631 (standard rates apply, blah blah blah, and they promise that your phone number will not be captured for use after the event).
We RSVPd of course, and got a confirmation text in return. So we're all set, right? There's just one thing: they still haven't told us where the show is taking place. Anyone heard any gossip on this one? Sera's website seems to be down, and her MySpace page doesn't have any shows listed until January 2009. We're clueless. We'd assume that another text with all the pertinent info will be sent out closer to the show, but the nosy habhab in us needs to know now. What's the word on the street?

Isabella Rossellini Brings Green Porno to Benaroya

I got the text a few hours ago letting me know it's at Sole Repair: 1001 E. Pike
Thanks for the info! I still have gotten no such text.
Here's the scoop from your pals at Sound Magazine. If you got a text confirming that you are on the list AND giving you the location of the show, you are on the guest list. You just need to know your cell number to get in. That text also gives you the option to bring a friend. You just have to reply with "guest". The show going to be amazing by the way.
I'm guessing the guest list is probably full by now, but given the apparent lag in the confirmation/address text I was wondering if anyone might know for certain...
@mrswright: No clue if it's full yet. You could always send a text and see what happens....
@jakesound: Thanks for the info, straight from Sound Mag. I still haven't gotten a text with the venue, nor did my message contain info on bringing a guest. It's interesting because the texts received seem to vary by mobile company. I'm a Sprint user, and my message (received immediately after I RSVPd) read:
A friend who uses AT&T also received no info about venue or guests, just:
But a friend who uses Verizon got all the info, in a series of texts:

I'm glad that Verizon is so adamant that we not smoke, but it's more than fishy that they seem to only provide their own customers with all the info for one of their sponsored events.
