What's Cookin': Fall Cider Celebration at Ivar's

ivars%20cider%20fest%20320.gifApples are among our favorites finds at the farmers markets these days, and on a cold fall day, there’s nothing like a cup of warm cider. But where are the cider doughnuts? Is that just a New England thing? We miss that pairing!

At this week's Fall Cider Celebration, Ivar's Salmon House and the Northwest Cider Society are teaming up to offer regional hard ciders paired with seafood hors d’oeuvres served up Chef Jason Bray. We’re looking forward to learning about artisan, craft, and vintage ciders—and how the dry, semi-dry, and sweet varieties match up with dishes like salmon tartare, seared halibut, smoked mussels, and oysters on the half shell. Sounds like good sampling and a great educational experience, just right for the season.
