Lincecum Too Good for M's, Wins NL Cy Young

Seems that since the kid is a local, the M's should have had an advantage to pick up on his talents ahead of the rest of the competition.

But they didn't. Is anybody really surprised?

TIM-MAY! Don't think the selection/non-selection of Lincecum is somehow indicative of either organization's management's quality/non-quality. My Giants are losers, too. Which makes Timmy's accomplishments all the more amazing.
