Okay, I've read this article a total of three times throughout today and I still don't see Connelly is trying to infer here... that the money used to promote this initiative could have paid for hospice care?

Well no fucking shit. So could have all the money raised for every election or ballot measure paid for something.

If you open the gate of "well that could have been spent here", expect a flood. It's a fallacy of an argument that nobody with a journalism class under their belt should make. Or a debate class. Or logic class. Or writing class.

That's third grade, playground gibberish.

If that's what he's trying to infer.

I was about to send that over to you guys but then I didn't think I could actually form an entire email. Just shocking jibberish asking how this is worth printing.

For feck sakes, I'm all for rants, but this wasn't even interesting.

And honestly, I've seen more gall in this election.

Yeesh, it's just sad.

I'm a little annoyed that I read the whole thing, myself, so I don't blame you.

I think that all I need to see is the combination of "Connolley", "longish", and "rant" to know that I don't need to click that link. Actually, the first of those three is probably sufficient.
