Why Seattle Isn't Ready for a Sports Championship (VIDEO FIXED)

You can't get nearly enough distance or velocity with a Starbucks cup.

(Video from last night's post-game celebration in City of Brotherly Love, as the Phillies--and local hero Jamie Moyer--won the World Series, knocking off the Tampa Bay Devil Rays after a long-delayed Game 5.)

Video's gone already. I'll just assume it was funny. Probably safer that way.

for those who didn't get to see it: a man climbed up a traffic light pole and onto the arm over the intersection. the street below was full of hundreds of people. someone in the crowd threw a large glass bottle at him, striking him in the head.

after a momentary wobble, the man slowly lowers himself onto the horizontal pole and then drops maybe fifteen feet into the crowd below to screams and the camera man saying "i totally go that on camera".

so the debate in the office this morning is whether the sound of the vodka bottle hitting the guy in the head sounded like a metal driving wedge hitting a golf ball, a sledge hammer itting a railroad spike, or a pop fly with an aluminum bat.

also under debate: was the bottle, in fact, grey goose?

You can if you fill it with IOU notes from WaMu.
