We Have A Chicken Wing Question For You

Over the summer, we were forced to eat at the Kirkland Wingdome (it was the only place Sonny Bonoho would meet us that day). Now, Seattlest hadn't eaten at Wingdome in years, prior to that day. And we aren't the type to order chicken wings at just any old restaurant, not when there are, say, french fries on offer. But on that fateful day, as we licked our fingers of the last remnants of spicy chicken wing grease, Seattlest realized that we could not wait another decade to eat chicken wings again, and if Wingdome tasted this good, then there are probably other, more responsible places to eat chicken wings in the city. Question: where are the best chicken wings in Seattle? The best? The greasiest, the spiciest, the meatiest? Pray tell, because we need chicken wings soon. Maybe even tonight. We'd rather not drive to Kirkland for them, either.

I absolutely love my chicken wings tossed in a variety of sauces, which the Wing Dome does well.

The Wing Dome has locations in Greenwood, Kirkland, and Kent. You can get directions and check out their current chicken wings/menu items at www.thewingdome.com

The wingdome is a very, very good wing. I eat hotwings about 70 meals a year and they have my vote.

They will actually serve you up a wing that is spicy. Most places have good chicken but the sauce is about as spicy as Ketchup. I have been told by others that better wings exist to vist these establishements and leave disapointed.

The Phiney location is the best around.

    Two words: WING MASTERS

    Anything else is just chicken.

For what it's worth, there's a Wing Dome in PhinneyWood.

I miss my college town where there were several wing places that offered them cheap and tasty.

I thought the old Pig & Whistle had great chicken wings. They were unusual for wings- with a dry crust, and the spice baked into it. Mmmm. Delicious, and different.

Since P&G reopened under new management, the wings are a travesty. Baked naked with a couple of fried jalapenos scattered around them as an afterthought, they are an affront to chicken wing lovers everywhere.

Not earth-shattering, but my vote would probably go to the Wingdome.

    Mouth watering...must find lunch.

  • I'm not 100% sure as I tend to order them drunk as a skunk.

    I know I enjoy Kate's buffalo wings.

Wingmasters in Ballard, especially their jerk and atomic. Also of note--It has been on a self improvement kick lately, newly expanded and has the old booths from Sunset Bowl.

Also winner for best mozzarella sticks in town.

Ah, this makes me sad. The best chicken wings in Seattle moved to Portland with my friend Vaughn. He did lend his recipe to another friend of mine, Roger, but you'd have to go through this whole rigamarole to get invited to a family occasion...wish I had better news for you.
