I was totally being sarcastic. But I don't know if Oregon really works. Their education system is bankrupt. They approve everything, but they cannot generate the tax dollars. Plus, I hate filling out forms before April.

We live in a state with no income tax. Money has to come from somewhere. Personally, I think the way Oregon does taxes is more responsible, but you work with the system you've got. Trains. That go across the lake. Please.

It also RAISES taxes, LarryB. I would much rather not get taxed. Until we get a "Magic Train Fairy" like Rossi's "Magic Bridge Rairy," I don't see the point in continuing to put this on the ballot.

Aargh. Transit RAISES property values and encourages investment, whether it's T shaped, Web-shaped, or shaped like a cariacature of Ron Simms. This whole thing is like letting children decide whether or not they want a vaccination. Diptheria epidemic, anyone?

Yeah, the Times has been pushing that web idea pretty hard the last decade year week day or so. It's been a huge deal for them all along.

You know what the Times' cite as one of the reasons it's a waste of a penny? It's not a web. It's a T-shaped network. Last time I looked at our geography and highways, it's sort of a fucking T. Or I. But not a web.
