Stalk of the Town

Jay is flying off to New Jersey to attend his niece's bat mitzvah (and to perhaps find good pizza in the Big Apple), and then goes on to Kentucky to see what life is like there the week before the election. hump

With a jacket strategically folded in his lap, Jack is going to HUMP! tonight. He'll laugh, he'll cringe, and he'll hope he doesn't see any coworkers there.

On Saturday, David will drink whiskey all afternoon in hopes of fitting in with the hordes of Notre Dame fans joining him at Husky Stadium.

It's The Corner again tonight, and Katelyn plans to thoroughly enjoy a particularly rare (and no doubt side-stitchingly hilarious) They Live! performance at the Rendezvous until the wee hours. She'll probably be working a few hours over the weekend, and though there's nothing written down on her calendar for Saturday night, she's sure there's something she's supposed to be doing. She'll be doing that, whatever it is.

Charles is already having his weekend. He left Thursday straight from work for a much-needed long weekend on the ocean at Long Beach.

Dan has a brother coming in from Chicago to watch the Catholics from Notre Dame decimate their old coach at Husky Stadium. The rest of the weekend will be spent recounting the ass kicking amid drink and song. husky stadium

Ronald will be in Chicago, attending a tourism meetup called French Affairs, which is less salacious than you might think.

Abbey will likely spend the weekend recovering from the flu and the second week of a new full time job. When she is not curled up in bed or drinking heavily, she may head out to a few shows around town. Including an early evening show at The Sunset on Sunday with a few of her favorites: Thunderbird Motel, The Magic Mirrors, and The Globes. Not a mediocre band on the bill, so you all should join her for some drinking and dancing.

Kim is playing tonight at Station Bistro with her pal Eric Miller. Afterwards, if her PBR hangover is gone, she'll go see King Ludd at Conor Byrne. Saturday, it's Amadan at Mars Bar. No plans for Sunday, but she's hoping to squeeze in some time at Pumpkin Bash at some point this weekend. Because what's better than animals stomping on pumpkins!?

This just in: Friday night MvB is off to "Road Trip," the themed lit/music event at Hugo House, as prep for a road trip to Ballard Saturday to see Velella Velella at the Sunset Tavern. And then there's punkin carvin' in the CD on Sunday.

"Perhaps find good pizza in the Big Apple"...

Perhaps a visit to Newcastle would reveal some coal.

troy, do you need to be included in our 'stalk of the town' from now on? as an honorary staff member? our one highly paid commenter?
