A Local We're Totes Crushing On

In all fairness, we've been crushing on Shenandoah Davis for a while, so we're ashamed that we keep missing her live performances. She'll be at the Sunset tonight, and we'll be at the Triple Door watching Jolie Holland. Dammit.

If you're not familiar, her songs are just so full of honest, sweet, innovative weirdness—the kind of songs that, you have to believe, nobody but Shenandoah Davis could've come up with. We've been digging on her We; Camera record for a while now. But, when we went a'looking for an image to put with this post, we happened upon this video for "Use Your Hands," and it not only made perfect sense, but also made us crush a little extra. So, a tip of the hat to Ms. Davis. And, to you people, don't follow our lead; go see her tonight (after Seattlest Happy Hour, of course). Then come back and tell us all about it tomorrow.

9 p.m. // Sunset Tavern // $6
