Stalk Of The Town

Tera will be catching the Saturday evening premiere of Spring Awakening at the Paramount. Saturday evening will be followed with a leisurely plane ride to Orlando where she’ll be trying out for the Mickey Mouse Club, or riding rollercoasters--however you want to look at it.

Kim is off to the Moore tonight for Dar Williams, followed by birthday festivities with her smartest friend. Tomorrow, it's a double-header at the Tractor;Catie Curtis plays the early show, followed by a celebration for NoDepression.com and a CD release with the Minus 5 and Band of Annuals. Finally, if you live in the Fightin' 43rd, answer that doorbell when it rings on Sunday, because it could be Kim reminding you to vote.

Abbey is kind of ridiculously worn out after her first week at a new full-time day job, so she may not get out of her cozy comfy bed all weekend. If she does, she'll be going to a house party to see a few of her friends from Thunderbird Motel play for the first time as a new side-project. On Sunday she plans on getting her favorite red-head tipsy before the afternoon over brunch and finishing up her evening with a little Skeletons With Flesh on Them at Chop Suey.

It's a hop, skip & jump across the Alps for our European traveler, Ronald, moving this weekend from northern Italy (where he's been blogging daily on Cornichon.org) to the south of France (where he'll be attending travel-industry orientations and trade shows). Work, you understand. Work.

Jay just returned from Florida and brought back some of that sunshine for us all this weekend. He'll be relaxing, with one meal planned at Via Tribunali.

Katelyn joyously labored to create pear sorbet and the Barefoot Contessa's coconut cake in the wee hours of this morning in order to bring dessert for twenty to a dinner party with friends in Beacon Hill tonight; tomorrow, look for her at Senor Moose's dinner hour and then at the NoDepression launch shindig at the Tractor. On Sunday she plans to imbibe multiple Bloody Marys at brunch.

After a Friday trip to Iceland's gorgeous Gullfoss waterfall (says his itinerary) MvB will take a Saturday trip to the Blue Lagoon hot springs on the way to the Keflavik airport, and eventually, Seattle.

I love the Abagail Washburn photo on the No Depression cover. The best part is the breakdancing Casey Driessen in the background, red shoes and all!

Which reminds me, no love for Dr. Ralph Stanley, eh? Weak!

FYI - bum link on Abbey's day job.

the link is fixed bilco!
how funny/ironic that I fucked up a link about my day job as a Code-monkey and TV Blogger.

Hey Abbey!

Congrats on working for Buddy TV. Some other friends and I have been trying to get in there for a while. From what I've heard the top level guys are some smart cookies.

Just.... do me a favor... never claim Two and a Half Men is a great sitcom.

See here and there was some other list where they were ranked in the top 5 for sitcoms. And to think.... 30 Rock is only number 9?!?!?! Lower than the American Office?

I remember my sample was about the Top 5 Saved by the Bell episodes. Luckily, I have all the original seasons on DVD.

Wait... should I have been so proud?
