MURDEROUS GODDESS: Psyche is an "Greek-myth feast" of an opera about an envious goddess named Aphrodite (aka Venus) who has it in for a lovely human named Psyche (duh). HE GOES THROUGH HELL FOR HER: More Greek myth graces the stage at On The Boards this weekend; Compagnie Marie Chouinard will dance their interpretation of the tragic tale of Orpheus and Eurydice. It's a particularly "audacious" interpretation, too: the dancers will be wearing short shorts, gold pasties, and fuzzy hats! You must go.

SLAVIC ORCHESTRATIONS: Capella Romana, a professional chamber vocal ensemble specializing in sacred music from the Christian church's Eastern and Western religious traditions, performs Ukranian compositions tonight at Town Hall. This is a beautiful chance to acknowledge the holy mystery, if you go in for that sort of thing. And if you don't, this is a beautiful chance to acknowledge the richness and variety of the Church's musical traditions...
