Here's a tip, MvB - while you're at the Rep, steer clear of the Mainstage where the 3 Musketeers stinker is showing.

We attending last night. To fair, the audience ate it up, cheering lustily then the 3 lads appeared on stage by sliding down ropes. Really.

There's no writing or character development to speak of, and a bunch of half-assed swordplay. The piece can't settle on the basic tone, even. Some is campy, some straight-up, some god-knows-what.

Still, that preview audience was the happiest I've heard a Rep crowd in many a year.

So *not* going to try the putrid shark, thanks! But I do plan to see what a township goes for. Maybe just naming rights.

Oh, and be sure to try the rotten shark. (See Anthony Bourdain's show on Iceland for reference.)

Hey MvB, take some cash with you on your trip and you may be able to pick up a good used country, cheap. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/10/10/business/worldbusiness/10icebank.html?em
