New Common Market Music Video

Ra Scion stars in Common Market's newest offering: a music video for their Tobacco Road single "Trouble Is." Directed by Sabzi's brother Zia Mohajerjasbi, the video's set in the small-town South and features a very funky gospel choir, gorgeous old-timey aesthetic accents, and oodles of cameos by local hiphop heads. This is a case where the video adds to the song rather than distracts from it. Well done, Zia!

*update: Here's the full video including intro, which reveals that Ra is not stealing other people's offering money but rather... well, you should watch the full version:

Wow. That was really WACK!

I liked it, it's not my fave but the ending got me. Haha @ Grynch smiling while he's trying to push Ra around!

That's some mighty fast rappin'!

Hey katelyn! Thanks for posting the video.

You know - MTVu cut out the intro - which kind of makes the video hard to understand. We posted the FULL length video everywhere today including youtube.

I think the ending makes even MORE sense when you see the intro...

Thanks again for the support!

LOL! Wow, that ending makes a lot more sense in this context. I was having a hard time wrapping my mind around the idea of Ra Scion stealing offering money, but I was totally willing to try to understand :P Thanks, updated video's now in the post.

Wow. That was really WACK!

I guess I can sympathize. The song's so good I almost wish I hadn't seen that it wasn't some bearded white nerd flowing.

But that's our problem, not theirs.
