Stalk of the Town
Stalk of the Town returns! This weekend officially welcomes us to the rainy season. So how will Seattlest be reaffirming life and nourishing our collective creative urge?
Abbey is moving into the Blue Moon for the weekend, which is not atypical for her, to take photos of and scream along with We Wrote The Book On Connectors and AGTSK. On Sunday, she'll recover with grits and a ritual pitcher of mimosa at Smith.
On Saturday, Katelyn will finally taste a famous Chapel martini at an urban arts cocktail party for Upper Playground. After that, she plans on rocking out at the Blue Moon with the help of A Gun That Shoots Knives.
She's been working hard all week and QFC was out of donuts this morning, so Kim has set her sights on St. Demetrios' Seattle Greek Festival on Saturday. Baklava and souvlaki await....Opa!
Amidst a weekend of laziness, cleaning, and laundry, Audrey will somehow find the motivation to leave the house for Momma's Man at the Northwest Film Forum.
Donte is closing out the weekend Sunday by going to Flammable at Rebar, notable this week because the scheduled headliner is Jeff Samuel, the Berlin-based techno DJ who happens to be back in town for the Decibel Festival.
"On The Road" Jay will be flying home from New Hampshire, and hopes to be sampling some food at Henry’s Bento on Sunday.
The inimitable MvB remembered something: the Fremont OktoberFest is less crowded on Sunday! So that is when he will be attending, because the beer will taste the same even if the music won't be as good.
This weekend, Charles is doing good things for a good cause, namely, the American Lung Association. It's the local chapter's annual Trek Tri-Island ride in the San Juan Islands and Charles (along with wife and friends) is volunteering through Monday to staff the rest area in the middle of each day's ride. He's praying for no rain.
And you? What are you doing this fine autumnal weekend?
