Seattlest Happy Hour in Photos

When drinking heavily in the afternoon with co-workers, it is always a good idea to bring your camera. That way the fuzzy details are there at least semi in-focus in the morning, and you yourself are in none of the photos! So come drink a few with us and play paparazzi at the next Seattlest Happy Hour at Moe Bar on October 20th.

Aren't we adorable! I like how Jeremy is scowling in the "We Are Awesome" photo. Thanks for taking these, Abbey.

who is that in photo #1 mocking mvb's hand gestures? kudos to them!

also, i never noticed the extreme pointiness of my nose. thank you for shooting that in a way that opened my eyes to such a thing.

@Kim: Maybe *I* was mocking them! I don't normally talk with my hands. Maybe I was doing something special for the camera.

I am not sure it's mocking either.
However, that's because looking at the 100 or so photos I took last night, the one thing that became very clear was we are a gesticulative bunch! We also, seem to become more so in the later photos, when MvB was shooting back doubles.

Imagine the thrill I had, checking out your site for the first time and seeing photos from last night. It was great to meet you all. Sorry we had to duck out early. My friend was mighty hungry!

Thank you for your hospitality!

Oh, doubles! *That's* the something special I was doing.

Sorry ladies. I had to comb my beard.

I missed you, JSeattle!

take it from the resident lesbo, j: nothing's hotter than a man combing his beard.

shemaiah, thanks for finding our little booth and spending some time with us! So glad you decided to check out the blog today too!

And MvB don't feel too bad about the doubles -- you were following Tom's example.

The gesticulation makes sense: take our jittery fingers away from our keyboards and we need to do something with 'em. This is why, I would bet, the lovers of Seattlest writers are a happy bunch of people.
