What’s Cookin’: Cooking with Class

cooking%20with%20class%20400.JPGThere are still a few openings left in this Tuesday’s Cooking with Class (sponsored by Seattle Dining!), which is also for a cause. This long-running event provides a unique opportunity to take three consecutive cooking classes taught by some of the area’s top chefs. Each class is limited to eight participants, providing the chance for interactive learning. And food tasting—along with wine pairings. Best of all, Cooking with Class benefits Providence ElderPlace and Heritage House at the Market, both part of Providence Senior and Community Services.

We see 22 instructors participating (the above photo shows last year’s chef-teachers), which means your challenge will be choosing which classes to attend. (This will become increasingly challenging as the event fills.) But how can you go wrong with such choices as Brasa’s Tamara Murphy doing heirloom tomatoes with tonnato sauce and arugula, Barking Frog’s Bobby Moore doing sweet crab salad with pickled peaches and Riesling vinaigrette, and Serafina’s John Neumark doing Puttanesca bianco with fresh tuna?
