Seattle's ANTM Contestant Is, As They Say, Fierce
We're not ashamed to admit we have a total girl crush on Seattle's entry in this cycle of America's Next Top Model. Elina, the Bjorkish bombshell who's dedicated her life (all 18 years) to animal liberation and utters reality TV gold like, "I am just a sexual person" is rapidly winning us over. If that makes us shallow, so be it.
Elina left out her theories on pants and gender equality this episode and got down to some amazing posing. She handily won the first challenge, a pose-off with handbags, and then took an absolutely stunning final photograph.
Since then, we really like Elina, just the way she is (save the making out with yucky conservative Southern belle, Clark). We're a little worried that Tyra and crew are promising a "Top Model first" for Elina's make-over next week. Unlike the average ANTM contestant, we think Elina actually has a shot of modeling outside of reality television--which means Tyra will likely feel compelled to make her "ugly-pretty." Since platinum blond on a once dark-haired Russian model has been done before, we're fearful baldness or a fashion mullet may be in Elina's near future.
