We locals should be happy about this--450 yokels cramming the Hard Rock means 450 fewer yokels taking up space at places where you might actually want to eat..

Actually, Seattle not having a Hard Rock given the number of places that do have a Hard Rock (Biloxi MS? Louisville KY? SLC -- srsly, SLC!) is, by city prominence standards, pretty sad. Seeing Cobain memorabilia on the walls of Times Square's HRC was a strange feeling. As for the haters: Maybe we can get some mopey, painfully wailing KEXP-heavy-rotation shoegazing local band to open. Cave Singers are probably available.

HAWHAWHAW Could you imagine if this was going in on the Hill?? But instead the rooftop deck will be there to piss of the millionaire residents in 1521 Second Ave. That said, Im glad its coming to that building. It will clean up that underused block. And whatever money it drains from the Cheesecake Factory I will support. Plus its cool that they kept the building.
