Hard Rock Cafe Coming To Pike

Your favorite overpriced musically-themed burger joint is on its way to our fair city! According to the Seattle Times, Hard Rock Cafe will be opening a new branch in that old terra cotta building down by the Pike Place Market sometime next fall. They are saying it'll be a 450-seater. It will be so rock n' roll to eat there, and we're sure there will be lots of branded merch available on which to spend your rock n' roll money (just like at a real rock concert!). Are you excited, Seattle?

"Hey dudes were totally at the Hard Rock! Yeah we are SO Entourage! I am so rich right now! WOO!"

Okay thats my last comment on this I swear.

We locals should be happy about this--450 yokels cramming the Hard Rock means 450 fewer yokels taking up space at places where you might actually want to eat..

    "Cave Singers are probably available."

No, Im pretty sure Gregoire has them playing in her house. Forever.

Actually, Seattle not having a Hard Rock given the number of places that do have a Hard Rock (Biloxi MS? Louisville KY? SLC -- srsly, SLC!) is, by city prominence standards, pretty sad. Seeing Cobain memorabilia on the walls of Times Square's HRC was a strange feeling.

As for the haters: Maybe we can get some mopey, painfully wailing KEXP-heavy-rotation shoegazing local band to open. Cave Singers are probably available.

    Rock never dies!

really? I thought they were in the long slow shutdown phase of existence, not the keeping the dream alive stage.

This would be cool news if it was 1985 instead of 2008.

    HAWHAWHAW

Could you imagine if this was going in on the Hill?? But instead the rooftop deck will be there to piss of the millionaire residents in 1521 Second Ave.

That said, Im glad its coming to that building. It will clean up that underused block. And whatever money it drains from the Cheesecake Factory I will support. Plus its cool that they kept the building.

NO. Make it stop. Make it stop.

Yum. They served me the coldest, most charcoaled burger I'd eaten in my first 12 years of life in SF.

Hey, Pike? false advertising. totally thought you had a Hill scoop.

  • Katelyn
