Daisey & Watts Explain the Meaning of Life for You
Looking past Bumbershoot for a second, we want to alert you to an evening we've been waiting for with bated breath--to our doctor's surprise and chagrin. So what if we're taking days off our life? If laughter is the best medicine, we might as well put ourselves in a condition to need it.
And laughter--plus chortling, snickering, and a few guffaws--is what you can count on at Frequently Asked Questions: Mike Daisey and Reggie Watts Explain the Meaning of Life. It's billed as "philosophical improvisations" from the two of Seattle's former funnymen: monologuist Mike Daisey (21 Dog Years, How Theater Failed America) and musician/comedian Reggie Watts (Maktub, Disinformation). Their live FAQ answers questions like: "Why is my pleasure so fleeting?" "Am I here for a reason?" "Why didn't I live up to my potential?" We could just plotz already.
It's a Richard Hugo House event, but it'll be held upstairs at Town Hall next Wednesday, September 3rd, 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $18/$15. Here's how to get to Town Hall.
