Not sure. I was wondering if the Muslim religion is granted the same sheltering from discrimination you were preaching here: one can basically say all kinds of things against the Christian church and not be labeled a bigot, but if you criticize or condemn Judaism, you will be labeled an anti-Semite, or if you condemn Islam, you will have death threats issued against you. I was assuming that logic flowed over to Muslims as the crux of your statement was that the majority isn't subject to the same sort of defenses as the minority.

Don't bring media into this. Media is a mess. Media isn't left wing or right wing, with the exceptions. Media is money. Whatever people will watch, the media will play. Also, while this is disgustinly crass and a bullshit apology issued, anyone notice what the DNC was handing out? A McCain How Many Houses Do I Own? button. Which one has more class now?! Oh, and yeah, I'm sure local democrats across the nation have gone over the line. But ruffhauser.... what do you think of the racial tones here? Do they gain the same fervent defense as you proposed for the godless billboard?

Well Ruffhauser, 4 years ago the media pretty much gave Bush a free pass despite the obvious trail of sleaze established behind the Iraq rationale. The election coverage was about Kerry not being a real enough Vet, not about Bush as an established liar and fraud. This time around, we have headlines carrying the RNC talking points about "Obama's lack of experience" and how "the Democrats are split over Hillary" and divided. It's like the press is going out of their way to paint the Democrats as confused and inexperienced when the real clowns are the idiots who want to sign up for four more years of the same failure that got us to this point. The liberal media is an hallunication limited to celebrity gossip. The talking points that the heavyweights agree to all echo are the real evidence of bias, and so far senile McCain is getting an easy pass. I mean, how else do you explian him polling as stornger on defense when he supports the discredited Bush doctrine? Only media reinforcement of total BS can lead to a collective glazing over that favors him.
