Hawks Play Chargers Tonight on MNF

"Seahawks Gameday Diptych" by Slightlynorth
The Seahawks make this season's only appearance on Monday Night Football tonight (5:00 PT) as they visit the San Diego Chargers in preseason action. Jobs are on the line as the preseason draws to a close and the regular season begins in less than two weeks. Teams are forced to cut 5 players from their rosters tomorrow, bringing their rosters down from 80 to 75 players.
Here are a few areas we'll be watching:
Kicker: The 'battle' at this position seems ended almost as soon as it started. Conspiracy theorists will look to rookie Brandon Coutu's groin injury with shaking heads, as some have speculated that Coach Holmgren isn't comfortable with a rookie kicker going into his final season at the helm, and the team will park Coutu on the IR for the season with a fake injury. The job seems Mare's to lose at this point.
Defensive End: Last year's starter Daryl Tapp seems to be heading to become the next Michael Boulware, seriously in risk of losing his starting job to rookie Lawrence Jackson, who has looked strong in his first two preseason games. Tapp needs to bring it tonight.
Running Back: Julius Jones remains the starter, while Mo Morris, T.J. Duckett, and Justin Forsett battle it out for two remaining spots. Tonight might be the night where Forsett solidifies himself on the roster, fails miserably, or picks up an mystery injury that lands him on IR (see Coutu above). T.J. Duckett also needs to make amends for a weak showing in the first two preseason games.
Receivers: Courtney Taylor is on the hot seat, as Holmgren plans to get him the ball early and often in tonight's game. He needs to perform well or faces being cut.
Other player news: QB Matt Hasselbeck will not play with a bad back (although based on our view of the Vikings game, its really an oblique problem). Seneca Wallace will see limited action as he continues to recover from a groin injury.
