FUCK@! Because of the lack of "pro" anti-car streets (I'm a fan, I think this is fun) publicity, I just accidentally sat through Ken Shram's idiotic mind vomit against this. BTW, Ken Shram, you're an old, nasty, perverted looking idiot.

It's true. I did suggest an article on the whole thing a few weeks ago. Let's show the City that we can thrive without cars. That's what they're testing. If we want good transit, we gotta pretend like we already have it.

Note to Alki and every other community lined up for Car Free Day Returns, Car Free Day Lives and Car Free Day Reloaded -- take these turkeys up on their offer and get involved. And don't assume that just because you haven't heard from the organizers that they have everything set and planned out. Call them and make sure they've got their shit covered. None of the Hill's major community groups were properly involved in the car free day plan up here -- and we paid the price.

(sigh) I knew it would be no NY car-free street day, but that's just sad. I still have hope for the Alki one - it's pretty lively even with cars (assuming it doesn't rain).

It's probably wishful thinking on my part, but I keep reading the headlines on this event as "Free Car Day." Maybe next year?
