<description>&lt;p&gt;It seems okay to me. There are lots of laws that are suspended for police if it would get in the way of doing their job.  
And I actually *do* trust cops to drive better than your average Seattle driver. I believe cell phone use while driving is significantly more dangerous when the person on the phone is a poor driver compared to a professional, well trained driver who practices defensive driving, accident avoidance techniques and has taken advanced driving courses. 

Also if a cop gets into an accident they&apos;ll look really silly to their superiors and it might affect their job, so they have a pretty big incentive to drive carefully. &lt;/p&gt;</description>

<description>&lt;p&gt;a couple weeks ago i watched a cop sit and do nothing while a guy made an illegal left turn during rush hour at five point, eastbound denny to northbound 5th.  maybe he would have noticed if he hadn&apos;t been talking on his phone, i dunno.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
