Can't Miss It: Wednesday

HILARIOUS TOMFOOLERY: Andrew Connor of The Cody Rivers Show, a brilliant physical comedy group out of Bellingham, has brought MissoulaOblongata's newest show, The Last Hurrah of the Clementines, to Theatre Off Jackson. Connor, who has great taste, and is rumored to be the newest curator of Seattle Sketchfest, is pretty much guaranteed to bring in a winner. If you're not convinced, check out the synopsis:

Late one night, a stranger knocks at the door of the Clementine residence (and laboratory…). Industriously sending eggs into outer space, sharpening knives, and engaging in higher mathematics, Mr. and Mrs. Clementine are suddenly called to live up to their vow: "We will harbor any fugitive, and ask questions later."

SQUEAL LIKE A FAN: The band name Purty Mouth sounds like a bad, bad joke, but the music is excellent. The adorable Alyssa Keene and Lori Ramon have the sweetest voices since Jo Stafford and the whip-smart lyrics will have you smiling all night long. Southbound Union opens.

8:30 p.m. // Highway 99 Blues Club, 1414 Alaskan Way // $5

SEXY SEXY: Put on your fancy clothes and head out to the opening night of The Little Dog Laughed at Seattle's Tony Award-winning theatre, Intiman. "Little Dog" is touted as a "touching take on sex, love, and the high cost of celebrity," but expect to be titillated by the "R" rating Intiman has given this show. If you're looking for quality, we studied with actress Megan Hill in the summer of 1999 and she was an amazing performer, even at the age of 19. It's opening night, so you can't order tickets online; call the box office at (206) 269-1900.

7:30 p.m. // Intiman Theatre, 201 Mercer Street, Seattle Center // $10-$44
