LiveBloggin' the Hawks: The Second Half
More randomness:
It's getting "fumblicious" out there. TJ Duckett hurt himself in the RB competition by putting the ball on the ground twice. Later Vikes QB Brooks Bollinger mistakely flips the ball backward, right into his offensive tackle's hands, who then after realizing its a live ball, appear to mutter "Uh Oh!", then takes one step and gets blasted by the Hawk D.
Seneca Wallace has 3 TDs. Against the 3rd string. Let's remember that little point, KJR callers.
LB David "The Heater" Hawthorne is making a name for himself as a special teamer. A couple of nice hits, and a forced fumble.
Coach Holmgren is sporting a nice tan. Seattlest-favorite Blayne would be proud. After Duckett's second drop, Holmgren gets in Duckett's face and gives him what the English call "the hairdryer".
As predicted, the screen pass is back. Five screens in the first half, and a few more in the second half. Holmgren has to be pleased with a whole new section of the playbook opened up to him again this season.
Hawks win 34-17! Howard Green ends the game with a pick. Overall, a good road performance. Other than Trufant, all the starters played well, and there were few injuries, namely third-string OT William Robinson who appeared to have a leg injury.
Next week, the Hawks are at home Saturday against the Chicago Bears.
