When the creativity faucet is on full blast, it can get tricky to turn it off--so these 25 local artists aren't even going to try. Instead, they have signed up to participate in a 24-hour art marathon in a beautiful old building in Georgetown, presented to the general public by CoCA for the 16th year in a row. By the time you read this, the marathon will have commenced; there are still twenty-some hours to pay your $25 (or $50 with wine and dinner) and get in on the silent and live auctions. This weekend's also the monthly Georgetown Art Attack--seems like it has potential to be quirky and interesting, right? Everybody loves arting in Georgetown!

CoCA Art Marathon // 9 a.m. Fri. to 9 a.m. Sat. // Rainer Brewery, Georgetown // $25 (purchase here)
Georgetown Art Attack // 6 p.m. - 9 p.m., Sat. // Airport Way, Georgetown // FREE

FELT HAT ALERT:
Rock, Paper, Scissors: Not the game itself, but nevertheless, the playful spirit of the game will be present at the Henry's DIY bash (that's "Do It Yourself" for the uninitiated) on Saturday. You will be able to purchase felted accessories and any number of cute boutique-y items from vendors; there will be a "DIY-DJ Table" (please report back to Seattlest about what this entails, if you go) and Tim Tinker paintings. Also promised is a reading and brainstorming session with one Matthew Offenbacher at 3 p.m.

12 p.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday // Henry Art Gallery // $10

OUTSIDE, IN PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS: Seattle Center's "Movie at the Mural" this weekend is The Goonies! And it's fitting, as no fewer than four people have independently made Goonies references to Seattlest this week. Another appealing outside option is the 6th Annual KEXP Summer BBQ, over in South Lake Union. Why you'd go (apart from the beer garden): The Dandy Warhols, Joseph Arthur (!!), and The Saturday Knights are playing. Well...and there's gyros, and curly fries among your food options.

The Goonies // 7 p.m., Fri. // Seattle Center // FREE
KEXP BBQ // 2 p.m. to 9 p.m., Sat. // SLU Discovery Center, 101 Westlake Ave N // $20 adv // All Ages, Bar w/ID

FACES MADE FOR RADIO: Plan on staying up late on Saturday, and want something weird but really fun to do? Head over to the Stay Up Late live talk-show, a monthly unrecorded smorgasbord of live interviews with kooky local celebs, hosted by Rebecca M. Davis and Brandon Whitehead. This month, the guy who owns Bus Stop (Gary Zinter) will be appearing, along with Jeffrey Davis (opera singer and artistic director of Noise for the Needy) and a much-hyped Secret Guest. Adrian Ryan, Stranger diva, might show up too. Reason enough!

11 p.m., Saturday // Balagan Bar, 1117 E Pike // $10 // All Ages
