San Juan Ferry Troubles

After losing all power and floating adrift in the midst of nearly full-run yesterday, the ferry Elwah will be out of service for at least two days. Just in time for a beautiful weekend where it would be lovely to escape to the San Juans! The Elwah is just one of a few ferries that provides service from Anacortes to the San Juans, but some sailings have had to be canceled because of the problems. If you are lucky enough to be planning an island escape this weekend, make sure to check that your planned ferry is still running.
