Bikinis, again, are fine. It's the pasties, folks. The pasties pissed people off.

Oh and to Johnnye, if you're suggesting that if you don't like the coffee shops, you should move?

How is that? A company is a member of the public. If a sex offender moves into your neighborhood, would you just say to your lady or neighbor "If you don't like it, move?"

Actually, espresso shops like this are already encroaching on Seattle. Cowgirls Espresso (http://www.cowgirlsespresso.com/main.php) is another of these barely-clad stands where they have theme days (Monday being Bikini Day if I remember correctly). Their main clientele are men.

The problem is that they serve REALLY good coffee. I'm not for young women being completely exploited by the owner of the chain, and I would probably frequent their stands more often if they put on a F-ing T-shirt simply because they do have good coffee; bottom line is that their nearly-nakedness makes -me- as the customer uncomfortable, not because they're nearly naked, but because they LOOK uncomfortable, especially in 50 degree weather!

Mason County is a very Republican County that caters to retired landowners with beachfront property and the rest of the people witout nice real estate.

This issue could tear the very fabric that keeps Mason County together.

Look for lynch mobs on the Purdy Bridge if the ban stays.

I'm with, well, all of the above actually. I don't go to Tits-R-Us for my coffee because it's usually a gross blend of cheap beans and loads of sugar and milk. I strongly disagree, however, with calling these girls erotic entertainers. They're making coffee. In a bikini. So fucking what?

It's not the bikinis. It made ruffles years ago but nothing was done. It was when they donned pasties people got pissed.

And it's "Adult Entertainer", not dancer.

So, women who wear swimsuits are erotic dancers? Sorry, I don't see the logic. These women are not dancing. And, they're not entertaining. And, there is nothing even remotely illegal about wearing a swimsuit.

It's a good thing the owner of the stand is backing down. Otherwise, he could sue the county. And, he would likely win. Bob Davis won $500,000 from Seattle and $350,000 from Bothell in lawsuits over violation of his constitutional right to open strip clubs - and this guy just wants to run a coffee stand with women in swimsuits.

I don't care how my barista is dressed, I just want my coffee to taste good and wake me up.

Hot baristas are hot eye-candy no matter how much clothes they wear. In fact, I *like* looking at well and compellingly dressed baristas. The barely dressed barista trend seems nothing more than a cheap ploy to have sorostitutes try to entice cro-magnon frat boys (past and present) into buying coffee by showing a little side-boob.

I just want a god-damned cup of coffee by an interestingly-dressed and either good-looking and/or charming-to-speak-with barista who knows how to make good drinks.
