Big Sexy hit a grand slam last night for the Yankees. Why the M's didn't unload Ibanez now that he's getting hot again is beyond me.

To answer your question - no I do not get that. The original post it fine, and correct, except for one point. The M's are not responsible for $5.5 million of Vidro's salary for the rest of the season. Makes no sense. He's making $8.5 million this season you state. Okay. The M's are paying $6 million of that you also state. Okay. The season is 3/4 over. That means he's due approximately $1.5 million from the M's.

Of all the dumb things about the Mariners over the past few years, continuing to burn plate appearances with Vidro as the DH was the dumbest. I guess they really did believe he'd be the new Edgar.
