Former Hawk DB Lucas Still Getting Beaten by Quicker Receivers
Former Seahawk cornerback Ken Lucas was involved in a training camp scuffle that was so one-sided he had to be carted off the field and required medical attention. During a special teams drill at this morning's Carolina Panther training camp, Lucas tangled with Pro-Bowl receiver Steve Smith. While training camp scuffles are commonplace as players vie for a place on the roster, serious fights which inflict injury are rare. However, the Lucas-Smith brawl was so intense that even Head Coach John Fox jumped in to break up the fight, along with several other players. Lucas suffered undetermined head injuries. Smith was kicked out of practice.
